Welcome 3/7 wives and families

We want to welcome you to the IRAQ & BACK blog designed for the wives and families of 3/7. Starting in August 2008 our husbands, fathers, sons and brothers all attached to 3/7 will head to IRAQ for a minimum of seven months. While they are away we want to show our support by collectively walking the distance from 29 Palms, California to IRAQ and back again. Miles will be counted and tallied each month, with healthy competition between India, Kilo, Lima, Weapons and H & S companies. It is our goal that by the end of the deployment we as the wives and families of 3/7 will have successfully walked to IRAQ & BACK on behalf of our brave Marine/Sailor!

Please stay posted for more information, registration forms, group walking dates, T-shirts and much more...we're looking forward to a great deployment!

Walking sounds like a very good idea. Are you still doing it?
I'm old and lazy and am not walking. Fear of an 'early' death doesn't seem to motivate me. Walking and TALKING might.
My stuff seems more important to me then your stuff.
Recently I've been hearing a term which may be spelled "localvor."
Seems it refers to a person successful at eating food that come from close to home. It sounds like a good idea, but just trying to find out where my food comes from seems overwhelming.
Have you any idea how I might become a bit of a "localvor."

a 29 Palms dodderd.
